ONE-ON-ONE MENTORING SESSIONS FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS
Have you been struggling with your photography process or are you stuck in a rut and can’t find your way to new work? Hey, we’ve all been there. As portrait photographers especially, it is immensely hard to practice lighting, posing, connection, etc. without the help of a model and some guidance. So starting today I am launching mentoring sessions to address any problem you are facing and push you to create new work and overcome obstacles.
Believe it or not, I shoot all my portraits out of my home studio- it is fairly small and a complete light cave (I have one tiny window that is completely useless for adding in extra light). But guess what? I MAKE IT WORK! I’ve perfected ways to make light look soft and natural while still dealing with small studio limitations. In fact, I know a few photographers that have made thriving careers off small home studios. So in light of this, I challenge you to come learn with me- all the best hacks, diy projects, work arounds, etc. that you can build off of. Even if an indoor space is not an option for you, you can take this info and create stunning work in any outdoor environment.
The Mentoring Session
The mentoring session is comprised of three parts: 1. Education 2. Hands on experience 3. Post Production
In part 1, education, we will spend a half day going over your afflictions, address what is holding you back and build on there. We will critique past work, study some masters of photography, discuss technical settings for lights and camera, and go over all the hacks and tricks I use in my own studio.
Part 2 will be about hands on experience. A model will be provided for you to implement the techniques we learned in part one and practice direction and connection.
Part 3 we will cull through your shoot and learn how to ethically and naturally retouch your images.
Each session is broken up into 4 hour blocks. Total workshop, 1.5 days.

The 3 part mentoring session is $900 and includes:
