New Orleans Covid Porch Project
In early 2020, the world came to a screeching halt as we were ordered to stay home during the Covid pandemic. I spent 2 weeks documenting people on their porch from a distance. It was one of the most existential experiences of my life. Driving around in an empty city, unsure of the future, and overwhelmed by stories from the front line. I slowly made my way neighborhood to neighborhood summoning people out for a portrait. In true New Orleans fashion they came out and didn’t disappoint. The images below represent New Orleans and the people who make it irresistibly unique. Documenting this moment in time is something that will stick with me forever and I am so grateful to have the memories in picture form.
